The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a training course to raise community awareness in managing and responding to emergency situations.

Under the supervision of the President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi The Continuous Education Division, in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense in Karbala, organized a free attendance training course for the college’s employees under the title: (Increasing community awareness in managing and confronting emergency situations if they occur) in which Brigadier General Saleh Kamel Ajeel, Colonel Hassan Akrouk Ishak and Commissioner Ali Sobeih attended the gesture with the participation of the faculty and staff of the college, and in the discussion room at ten o’clock for the period from 10/26-24-2021.
The training course aimed to familiarize the participants with the procedures and measures that must be taken for the purpose of securing the necessary protection for the population and public and private properties, minimizing losses and sustaining work in conditions of war, peace and various disasters.
The training course included a detailed explanation about the use of rescue equipment, first aid methods, the use of extinguishers and ambulance equipment, in addition to introducing the employee to self-protection, and the emergency evacuation plan for government departments.
