Faculty of Veterinary Medicine discusses master’s thesis on the role of squalene supplements to reduce side effects of muscular morbidity of rats treated with samphistatin

A master’s thesis at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Karbala University was discussed in the branch of Phesselija, Life Chemistry and Medicines for the student (Zainab Amori Araibi) and tagged with the title:
( Restoring effect of squalene supplements on rats treated with simvastatin )
On Thursday, the College’s discussion room was 4/10/2023 in the presence of a number of researchers and specialists. The discussion and supervision committee was composed of:
proff.dr. Aied Hamid Hassan, President
proff.dr.. Nabil Mohamed Naji Member
proff.asisstant .dr. Ra ‘id Abdul Mahdi Kassem Member
proff.asisstant .dr Maiyad Hassan/Member and Supervisor
proff.asisstant .dr Mohammed Jasim Jawad/Member and Supervisor
The thesis stated that squalene does not interact with symphastatin by activating cholesterol synthesis, but rather regulates the process that provides a new opportunity to reduce the muscle toxicity caused by the drug.
The thesis included measuring the level of cholesterol, antioxidants, hydrogen peroxide and creatine kinase.
also discussed the research’s findings that the role of squalene supplements on samophstatin-treated rats remains to stop treating statins and not adhere to the main problems associated with this drug, although statins are frequently used to reduce cholesterol and reduce the proportion of deaths from cardiovascular disease.
I summarized the letter with a very good estimate.
