Sixty-two Iraqi universities and colleges in the Times Sustainable Development Ranking

            Sixty-two Iraqi universities and colleges have scored competitive positions in the Times Sustainable Development Rankings 2024.

indicated an increase in the number of Iraqi universities and colleges that reserved their positions in the Times Sustainable Development classification to 62 universities after it was 53 in the last version, and it was topped by the University of Basra, which ranked (401-600) globally, then the universities of the future (601-800), Baghdad (601-800), Babylon (801-1000) and Kufa (801-1000).

It is worth noting that the British Times Sustainable Development Ranking evaluates (2152) universities from (125) countries by achieving a number of United Nations goals out of 17 goals, including quality of education, health and well-being, partnerships, industry and innovation.

It is worth noting that Iraq ranked 37th globally after 13 universities achieved competitive positions in the (The Times) classification, while Iraqi universities and colleges recorded their escalating competition in other international rankings, including the Shanghai Classification of Subjects for the year 2023, in which the University of Baghdad appeared within the specialization (Dentistry & Oral Sciences) and the classification (Scimago), in which there are forty-seven institutions, and the classification (Greenmetric), in which the number of Iraqi educational institutions increased to seventy-four universities. And the RUR College and Classification, in which there are forty-five Iraqi universities, in addition to the Webometrics classification, which recorded the attendance and competition of more than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges.
