The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a seminar on strategies to control the coherbs virus in fish

        Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala organized a panel discussion under the title (Strategies for Controlling the Coherbs Virus in Fish) and within the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, in which Assistant Lecturer Amir Hadawi Zaghiron, a teacher of fish in the branch of diseases and diseases of poultry and fish, lectured and attended by a number of faculty and students of the college.

The seminar aims to raise awareness about the coherbis virus (KHV), which poses a major threat to the fish farming industry, and to discuss modern strategies for the prevention and control of this virus in fish farms.

Several topics were reviewed during the panel discussion, starting from the definition of the virus and its symptoms, to the latest available treatment and prevention techniques.

Prevention strategies include: improving water quality, temperature management, and prevention using vaccines and medicines.

The event comes at a time when the fish farming sector is witnessing significant challenges due to viral diseases, making it an important step towards strengthening scientific and industrial cooperation in this field.
