Assistant Professor Dr. Juman Khalil Ibrahim a faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala participated in the events of World Microbiology Day (IMD 2025) organised by the Arab Republic of Egypt in its current session with the participation of a group of researchers and academics from various countries around the world under the auspices of the Arab Society for the Conservation of Fungi.
The lecturer gave a scientific lecture on the theme ‘Microorganisms: Friends or Enemies?’ in which she addressed the dual role of microorganisms between benefits and risks emphasising the importance of promoting scientific awareness among young researchers about the great potential of microorganisms in the fields of health environment and industry.
This participation embodies the presence of the University of Kerbala in international scientific forums and reflects the level of academic and research excellence that characterises its teaching staff.
For his part Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi expressed his pride and appreciation for this international participation, emphasising that the participation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in such scientific forums reflects the faculty’s academic and research excellence and contributes to strengthening scientific cooperation with international institutions. He added that the faculty attaches great importance to encouraging teaching staff to participate in scientific conferences and events, thereby contributing to the development of scientific research and the transfer of global expertise to the academic and research community at the University of Kerbala.
