Postgraduate students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine carry out a field campaign to vaccinate animals against foot-and-mouth disease

Students from the Internal and Preventive Medicine Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala carried out a voluntary field campaign to examine and vaccinate farm animals against foot-and-mouth disease as part of the faculty’s animal field unit.

The campaign was supervised by the dean of the faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, with the aim of enhancing the practical skills of postgraduate students and instilling a spirit of volunteerism and community service in them.

The campaign included examining the health status of the animals and giving them preventive vaccines in a step that contributes to supporting veterinary efforts to protect livestock and limit the spread of epidemic diseases.
