Faculty of Veterinary Medicine launches awareness campaign on the importance of afforestation and its role in sustainable development

      As part of its efforts to spread environmental awareness and establish a culture of sustainable development the Human Rights Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala organised an awareness campaign entitled ‘Plant a Tree, Build a Green Future’ under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi.

The campaign aimed to highlight the vital role of afforestation in protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development goals through the distribution of awareness brochures with the participation of third- and fifth-year students and a number of faculty members.

 Al-Kaabi emphasised that this initiative embodies the university’s vision of promoting environmental awareness among students and supporting efforts to create a green university environment that contributes to improving the quality of life.

For her part, Ms. Marwa Youssef Mohammed Hadi, Head of the Human Rights Unit, explained that the campaign is part of a series of activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and human rights in a healthy and sustainable environment, in line with the university’s goals of building an integrated environmental community.
