As part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala’s outreach to various community institutions the faculty hosted a delegation from the Al-Warith Charitable Foundation for Public Health to discuss ways of joint cooperation and learn about the most prominent health services and awareness programmes offered by the foundation to serve the community.
During the meeting Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasising that the faculty always seeks to build effective partnerships with health institutions because of their positive impact on spreading awareness and promoting the concept of prevention and public health among students and the community.
During the visit he also discussed the possibility of organising joint awareness campaigns and workshops aimed at raising the level of health culture and promoting the principles of social responsibility in line with the college’s vision that veterinarians should be active participants in serving both people and the environment.
At the end of the meeting the visiting delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the college dean for the warm welcome, affirming that cooperation between the two parties will pave the way for future initiatives that serve the community and promote integration between academic and field work.
