Towards Integrated Awareness… The College of Veterinary Medicine Examines the Role of Men in Achieving Gender Justice

         Under the patronage and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala the Gender Justice Unit organized an educational lecture entitled “The Role of Men in Gender Justice” this morning in the Health Laboratory. The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The lecture, delivered by Ms. Siham Moatouq Ali, aimed to consolidate the concepts of gender justice and equality and highlight the pivotal role of men in supporting and empowering women within the university environment and society in general, based on the principle of partnership and integration in achieving sustainable development.

The lecture included several topics, including defining the concept of gender justice and the importance of men’s participation in combating discrimination and achieving social balance, while reviewing successful models and experiences in this field from both within and outside of academia.

For his part, the Dean emphasized the importance of these awareness-raising initiatives, which align with the university’s mission to spread a culture of justice and equality. He noted that engaging all members of the university community, both men and women, in instilling these values ​​contributes to building a healthy learning environment based on mutual respect and complementary roles.

The event concluded with a dialogue session that witnessed positive interaction from the attendees. A number of interventions and insights were presented on ways to promote a culture of gender justice and mechanisms for involving students in implementing initiatives that support this humanitarian and social orientation within the college.
