The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala welcomed the committee formed to evaluate the scientific and academic status of veterinary medicine colleges in public universities for the academic year 2025-2026. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, his deputies, and several department and laboratory heads.
During their visit, the committee reviewed the college’s scientific and academic standing and the mechanisms for implementing educational programs. They also examined files related to the educational and research processes and scientific activities, ensuring alignment with the standards adopted for evaluating veterinary medicine colleges.
The Dean emphasized the college’s commitment to developing its educational and academic environment and raising the level of institutional performance. This commitment is demonstrated through adherence to quality standards and academic accreditation, as well as enhancing educational and scientific research outcomes to contribute to preparing competent veterinary professionals who meet the needs of society and the job market.
The visit included a tour of the classrooms and scientific laboratories to observe the available resources and the level of educational services provided to students.
This visit comes as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s monitoring of academic and scientific performance indicators in veterinary medicine colleges, which contributes to enhancing the quality of education and achieving continuous development in academic institutions.
