The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, received the President of Imam Hussein University of Iran, Dr. Muhammad Reza Hosni Ahnakar, and the President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and their accompanying delegation.
During his meeting with the delegation, Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh stressed the importance of strengthening academic relations between Iraqi and Iranian universities, in a way that contributes to the development of higher education and scientific research.
The President of the University of Karbala indicated that the openness to international universities is in line with the vision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in opening up to scientific institutions and benefiting from their experiences in the field of scientific research.
For his part, the President of Imam Hussein University, Dr. Muhammad Reza Hosni Ahnkar, praised the various scientific branches contained at the University of Karbala, as well as the presence of specialized research centers in the strategic and environmental field.
Al-Kaabi accompanied the Iranian delegation on a field tour of the college’s laboratories, electron microscope, classrooms and exhibition of student projects completed within the Global Entrepreneurship Week.
On the sidelines of the visit, the University of Karbala signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation with Imam Hussein University, which aims to activate the scientific partnership to ensure the advancement of the scientific reality of the two institutions.
