A student from the College of Veterinary Medicine achieves first place in the World Cup of Iraqi universities debates

           The student Muhammad Ali Hussein Al-Jabri from the College of Veterinary Medicine ranked first in the second edition of the Iraqi Universities Debate Cup, which witnessed the participation of ten private universities at the level of Karbala Governorate in this year’s World Cup and that the first station of the competition will be between students of universities in Karbala Governorate, after which the qualifiers will move to participate in the competitions at the level of Iraq and the qualifiers conclude their competitions in Qatar, where the competition will be at the level of the Arab world.

The activities of the World Cup, organized by the International Academy for Leadership and Development (IALD) in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, were attended by the Assistant President for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, and the participation of students of the University of Karbala and private universities in the province.

World Cup events were held at a highly competitive level, where students competed in academic debates that addressed vital issues in the fields of culture, education, and community development. Al-Jabri has demonstrated exceptional skills in persuasion, analysis, and logical responses, which qualified him to outperform his competitors and win first place.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, expressed his happiness with this achievement, pointing out that participation in such events contributes to the development of intellectual skills and refinement of the academic personality, and this achievement is a qualitative addition to the academic career of one of our students and the status of the College of Veterinary Medicine, which has proven its strong presence in scientific forums.

Al-Jabri also dedicated this victory to the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Presidency of the University, which supported his participation and facilitated his excellence in this World Cup.
