A number of fifth stage students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University participated in the spring national spraying and dipping campaign, launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture to reduce the spread of ticks, the main vector of hemorrhagic fever disease.
The campaign was launched at Al-Husseiniya and Al-Har veterinary clinics, with the active participation of students who accompanied the veterinary teams in spraying and dipping cows and sheep with Deltamethrine 5%, an effective and safe parasite control substance.
This participation aims to enhance students’ field skills, link the theoretical aspect with the practical reality, as well as contribute to the protection of livestock and public health.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, praised the students’ efforts and participation, stressing that the College continues to support practical training and prepare students for the veterinary labor market.
