Faculty Members from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala Participate in a National Expert Committee for Curriculum Development

       As part of efforts to develop higher education in Iraq, several faculty members from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala participated as members of an advisory expert committee tasked with reviewing and updating veterinary medicine curricula at Iraqi universities. This participation took place during the national conference held at the University of Baghdad under the theme “Knowledge Economy: Pioneering Universities and a Sustainable Economy.”

The committee included Professor Dr. Ihab Ghazi Mahdi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies; Professor Dr. Ihsan Mohammed Salbi, Head of the Microbiology and Parasitology Branch; and Assistant Professor Dr. Jassim Mohammed Khalaf.

The conference addressed mechanisms for curriculum development and bridging the gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands, in line with modern scientific advancements.

This participation reflects the distinguished academic presence of the college’s faculty and their active role in contributing to the development of veterinary education and enhancing the quality of its graduates at the national level.
