Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, the college organized a specialized workshop entitled: “Self-Assessment and Quality Assurance in Veterinary and Academic Institutions.” The workshop was held in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture of the Holy Karbala Governorate and with the participation of a number of faculty members, researchers, and administrative and technical staff.
The workshop, presented by Professor Dr. Kadhim Saleh Kadhim, addressed the importance of self-assessment as a fundamental tool for improving institutional performance and enhancing the quality of veterinary education and services, in line with modern academic accreditation standards and quality assurance requirements in higher education institutions.
The workshop also included several scientific topics related to the mechanisms for implementing quality standards and preparing evaluation reports, analyzing institutional strengths and challenges, and introducing key performance indicators and tools to support sustainable institutional development.
The Dean stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and government veterinary departments in order to support the program accreditation process, improve educational and research outputs, and keep pace with modern scientific developments.
