The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a training course on taxidermy

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel, President of Karbala University, and under the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Wefaq Al-Bazi The Continuios Education Division organized a training course under the title (Taxidermy) in cooperation with the Veterinary Hospital in Karbala, the Iraqi Natural History Museum Research Center / University of Baghdad and the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Karbala, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein, the dean of the college, and a number of researchers and participants in the training course and the tissue laboratory in the college,

The workshop included two theoretical aspects, giving an overview of how to taxidermy various animals, training participants theoretically in taxidermification (method, materials and tools used) and how to work and shape the structures of the stuffed animals in a way that makes them closer to their natural shape. The participants were tested within an exam on the information of the theoretical aspect of the course.
As for the practical side, it included the taxidermy of a bird (Al-Qubj) and the work and formation of a structure for it. On the third and fourth day of the course, the focus was on the practical side.
