Assistant Professor Dr. Juman Khalil Ibrahim participated in a committee to discuss the doctoral thesis for the student “Shukria Hatem Alwan” at the University of Basra / College of Veterinary Medicine. The thesis specializes in physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology and is entitled: (the effect of silver nanocomposites and biosynthetics on the methanolic extract of cinnamon, and metformin in the treatment of polycystic syndrome induced ovaries).
The thesis aimed to create bio-synthesized silver nanocomposites using the methanolic extract of the cinnamon plant and study its effect on mice in which polycystic ovaries were induced by estrogen and to show the extent of its effect on infected mice and the ability of the compound to treat disease. The student has been awarded a certificate of excellence.
