The College of Veterinary Medicine organizing a training course on Methods of dissecting animal corpses and collecting organs and tissues samples and examining them macroscopically and microscopically.

Under the auspices and supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wefaq Al-Bazi, the Division of Continuing Education at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University organized a training course entitled (Methods of dissecting animal corpses and collecting organs and tissues samples and examining them macroscopically and microscopically for the period from 5-7/2/2023 and in the discussion hall in the College.

A number of researchers participated on the training course including Dr. Muhammad Jassim Jawad, Dr. Iman Jawad Jaber and Dr. Abeer Fadel Khudair.

The training course aims to identify the methods of dissection of dead animal corpses due to infectious epidemic diseases within animal breeding areas and pens, and to identify organs, fluids and various pieces of tissue, then examine them macroscopically and microscopically to reach an accurate diagnosis of the pathogen that leads to animal death.

The training course included an explanation of the history of dissection of animal corpses and its relationship to the diagnosis of veterinary diseases, knowledge of common methods for conducting dissections of animal corpses, how to collect and isolate samples, in addition to learning about the mechanism of accurate macroscopic diagnosis and microscopic examination of samples and organs of dead animals.
