Master’s students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine receive practical training in blood sampling and laboratory diagnosis techniques

       The Public Health Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala held a practical lesson for master’s students as part of the 2025–2026 academic programme requirements. The lesson covered blood sampling and animal sampling for laboratory diagnostic purposes.

During the class, students received practical training on the correct methods of blood collection and preparation of laboratory samples, in addition to learning about modern methods used in diagnosis, with an emphasis on compliance with biosafety standards and the quality of results.

The professors of the Public Health Department explained that this training comes within the framework of enhancing the practical skills of postgraduate students and linking theoretical aspects with practical aspects, thereby contributing to the development of their research capabilities and preparing them to conduct sound scientific research that serves the veterinary and public health sectors.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, emphasised the faculty’s keenness to support scientific and training programmes for postgraduate students and to provide an integrated educational and research environment that contributes to the preparation of distinguished academic cadres capable of serving the community and developing the veterinary medicine sector.
